Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday invited industry leaders from Middle East and North African countries to explore business opportunities in Odisha.

At the Investors’ meet in Dubai on Wednesday, Naveen showcased Odisha's conducive ecosystem and vast opportunities to business leaders from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.

Naveen assured the top-notch leaders from these regions of all support for faster grounding of projects in case they invest their money in different projects. Naveen also explained to investors the state’s advantages in different fields.

At the Dubai meet, Naveen welcomed the proposal of Adeeb Ahamad, the MD of Tablez, Lulu Financial Group and Twenty 14 Holdings to invest Rs 500 crore to build a luxury hotel focussed on wellness.

The chief minister tweeted that during the meeting with P.N.C. Menon, chairman of Sobha Realty, expressed their intent to invest Rs 5,000 crore in metals, metallurgy and hospitality sector in Odisha.

Naveen also discussed Sharaf Group’s proposal to invest in the logistics sector. “It’s a pleasure meeting Mr Ibrahim Sharaf of Sharaf Group at Odisha Investors Meet in Dubai,” Naveen tweeted.

Naveen also interacted with K.G. Abraham, Partner and MD of NBTC Group of Kuwait. “Welcomed their proposal to invest Rs 5,000 crore in a Urea Plant. “Pledged to facilitate and support with industry ready infrastructure and skilled workforce,” Naveen tweeted.

The chief minister also shared the information in a tweet that Yousif Al Hammadi, MD of Tabreed Group expressed his intent to invest Rs 1,000 crore in an ICT campus in Bhubaneswar.
