Rohit Sharma and Team Land in Delhi
The Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, landed in Delhi earlier today, after winning the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados. Fans gathered outside the airport and ITC Maurya, chanting "India, India" as the players arrived. The team is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon and enjoy a special breakfast at the hotel.
Celebrating on the Flight
On the flight home, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and other players celebrated with the T20 World Cup trophy. The team looked at the trophy with awe, enjoying their victory and the journey back to India. The flight was filled with excitement and joy as the BCCI shared this memorable moment on X (Formerly Twitter) “Travelling with the prestigious on the way back home! Grand Arrival in Delhi Airport
Sharma, holding the trophy, was greeted by officials and fans at the airport. He cut a cake to celebrate the victory before heading to the hotel as seen in the video shared by BCCI on X (Formerly Twitter). “The #T20WorldCup Champions have arrived in New Delhi! Fans Gather to Celebrate Outside ITC Maurya
The Indian cricket team received a grand welcome at their hotel. Fans cheered and sang to dhol beats. Suryakumar Yadav was the first to start dancing, who was later joined by Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, and Mohammed Siraj. “Members of #T20WorldCup winning Team India dance to dhol beats at ITC Maurya Hotel in Delhi as they arrive from Barbados” tweeted PTI.
