The Delhi government convened an emergency meeting today to address the city's waterlogging issues. Key ministers, including Water Minister Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Gopal Rai, and Imran Hussain, along with officials, participated in the discussions.

Following the meeting, authorities announced two dedicated channels for citizens to report waterlogging problems:

To ensure swift action, the government is establishing a control room staffed with officers to resolve reported issues. Additionally, Quick Response Teams are being formed across all departments to tackle the waterlogging crisis efficiently.

These measures aim to mitigate the impact of heavy rains and improve the city's drainage system response. Residents are encouraged to use the provided contacts to report any waterlogging incidents in their areas.

As heavy rain lashed Delhi early Friday, waterlogging in many areas of the city led to a flood-like situation forcing vehicles to craw amid massive traffic jams.

The Delhi Traffic Police issued alerts to notify the affected carriageways, advising commuters to plan their journey accordingly.

Visuals coming from various parts of the city showed several areas inundated with water, leading to long traffic jams which affected commuters, especially, office-goers.

The Delhi Police said they received several calls regarding traffic issues, waterlogging and uprooting of trees since the morning.
