A trader who had returned from Hooghly in Bengal died of heart attack at a quarantine centre in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Wednesday morning. Radhashyam Pani, 60, had a betel shop in Hooghly. He returned home at Korkara village, along with his brother Naran, by car around 11.30pm on Tuesday.
The trader was a diabetic patient and had high blood pressure. “He had consulted doctors in Hooghly on June 8 and was under medication,” said Korkara sarpanch Madhusmita Jena.
Bhadrak block development officer Damodar Khuntia told The Telegraph: “According to the medical report, the immediate cause of the death was a heart attack.”
