The Congress Working Committee will meet on May 10 to discuss the disastrous performance in the Assembly elections amid rising concerns in the party over the state of affairs, particularly the decision-making processes over the last two years.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi had herself described the performance as “disappointing” and “unexpected” as the party hoped to do better in both Assam and Kerala. The party is expected to hold organisational elections to elect a new president next month.
