Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday called upon the people to work in unison to build a prosperous and transformed Odisha.
“All should work unitedly towards this,” said Naveen while hoisting the national flag at the state-level Independence Day celebration here.
Naveen said development has been noticed in all sectors — education, health, tourism and infrastructure development.
“The economy of the state has been strengthened. Poverty is on the decline. The state has been receiving investments worth lakhs of rupees, creating employment opportunities for youth,” he said.
Stating that mothers are the face of development, Naveen said: “Mission Shakti has emerged as an engine of transformation. They have reached the next -level of development.”
Stressing on the point that his government is working towards providing employment to its youths, the chief minister said: “We will be training around one lakh youths every year.”
Naveen said his government had launched a Rs 4,000-crore scheme named “Ama Odisha, Nabin Odisha (Our Odisha, New Odisha)” to make the state modern, vibrant and aspirational.
