Chhattisgarh: Public Relations Department promotes govt schemes in villages through 'Kala Jathas'

Attractive performances by the local art group along with photo exhibitions cum information camps are being organised to showcase and notify people about the government's welfare schemes

The Department of Public Relations is providing information on the ambitious schemes of the state government to rural residents through 'Kala Jathas' and photo exhibitions cum information camps in the rural areas.

On Monday, people were made aware of the government schemes and programmes through attractive performances by 'Kala Jathas' in the Pandariya, Sarkhor, and Karda villages falling under the Baloda Bazaar development block and through photo exhibitions cum information camps in Bhatapara city and the Borsi gram panchayat.

The various programmes being carried out by the Kala Jathas in different villages of the district are receiving a good response from the people. People are particularly enjoying the songs based on 'Godhan'.

Under the guidance of District Collector Shri Rajat Bansal, the team of Kala Jathas is showcasing various performances based on government schemes in 100 designated villages in all development blocks of the district and in Haat Bazaar as per the directions of the Public Relations Department. In addition, the distribution of promotional material for government welfare schemes is also being carried out.

After about 5-6 years, government schemes are being promoted in villages through local artists in the plain districts. The presentations of these programmes based on the welfare schemes of the state government are being given in various villages by the Upkar Panthi Loknritya Kalyan Samiti Mandir Hasaud and Arogya Samiti.

The art group presented the programme in an entertaining way which was enjoyed by the villagers. In the coming days, programmes will be organized on February 21 in Bhalukona, Hardi, and Turma, on February 22 in Parasapali, Dongaridih, and Dongra, and on February 23 in Tilda and Lata.
