Chief Minister Shri Sai announced the Bastar Olympics 2024, an initiative aimed at showcasing sports talent from Naxal-affected and sensitive districts.

The event will offer an opportunity for divyangs and surrendered Naxalites to display their sporting abilities, helping connect these communities with the wider world through sports.Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri P. Dayanand, Shri Basavaraju S., Shri Rahul Bhagat, and Secretaries of all concerned departments, Commissioners of all Divisions, Collectors of all Districts, CEOs of Zila Panchayats, and Commissioners of Municipal Corporations were also present in the Collector-SP Conference.

The Bastar Olympics 2024 aims to create a sense of pride and belonging among participants, particularly those from marginalized groups, by giving them a platform to excel.

Extensive preparations are underway to ensure widespread participation and smooth execution of the event.

This initiative highlights the state government's commitment to peace-building and empowering vulnerable communities, showcasing sports as a pathway to progress and social harmony in Chhattisgarh.
