Villagers and farmers are enthusiastic about the Chhattisgarh government's Godhan NYAY Yojana. Under this scheme, women in self-help groups are engaged in various activities, such as the production of vermicompost manure from cow dung in gauthans.
The process of procuring cow dung and preparing vermicompost is going smoothly in all the gauthans of the district.

The women's self-help group of village Jhalam in the Bemetara district is actively engaged in manufacturing vermicompost in Gauthan. Geeta, a member of the group, stated that the name of her group is Jai Maa Saraswati Women Self-Help Group, and there are a total of ten members in the group.
Godhan NYAY Yojana provided us with employment and freed us from debt
Earlier, Geeta used to do labour and farming work for a living, due to which her financial condition weakened. There was no other source of income, and her family went into debt. Then she formed a group with other women of the village and joined the ambitious Godhan NYAY Yojana.
Under the Atma Yojana of the Agriculture Department, her group was provided earthworms and training for the production of vermicompost. Now, they are successfully manufacturing compost and vermicompost after receiving timely guidance and resources from officers of the agriculture department.
The women of the group are earning additional income by producing earthworms along with vermicompost. Till now, they have produced 580.70 quintals of earthworm manure and sold fertilizer worth Rs 2,27,634.

Geeta Vaishnav stated that they received employment from the Godhan NYAY Yojana and also repaid all due loans. There has been a lot of economic improvement in the lives of all the women in the group.
The women are very happy and excited to work in the group. Recently, the women of tribal self-help groups have earned Rs. 8,000 by cultivating vegetables.
