Chhattisgarh CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai orders probe after four people die at aluminium plant in Sarguja district

Orders have been given to investigate the matter, strict action will be taken against the culprits, says the chief minister

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has directed an investigation into the accident reported at the aluminium plant in the village of Silsila of Sarguja district on Monday.

The CM expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and ordered to investigate the matter, strict action will be taken against the culprits.

"Sad news has been received about the death of 4 workers and injury of many workers in an industrial accident at the Alumina Plant in Surguja. Orders have been given to investigate the matter, strict action will be taken against the culprits. My condolences are with the families of the deceased. I pray to God for peace to the departed souls, strength to the families and speedy recovery of the injured," the chief minister said.

Following this, the Collector of Sarguja district has formed an investigation team.

As per information, four people lost their lives in the industrial accident that occurred on Sunday at the Maa Kudargadhi Aluminium Plant, located in the village of Silsila, under the jurisdiction of Lundra Janpad Panchayat in Sarguja district.

Taking cognizance of the incident, the chief minister has instructed the district administration to conduct a prompt investigation.

The investigation team formed by the Collector of Sarguja includes the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) Lundra, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Lundra, District Labour Officer Ambikapur, Manager of the District Trade and Industry Center Ambikapur, and the Industrial and Safety Officer Ambikapur.

The team will visit the site, conduct an investigation, and submit a report to the Collector within two days.
