Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel released a coffee table book published by the Chhattisgarh State Handloom Development and Marketing Co-operative Federation at his residential office today. The Secretary of the Gramodyog Department Dr. Alok Shukla and the Managing Director of the Handloom Federation Mrs. Rekha Shukla were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister congratulated the Secretary of the Gramodyog Department Dr Shukla and the Managing Director of the Handloom Federation Rekha Shukla and said that the coffee table book would prove to be quite useful for promoting Chhattisgarh's handloom clothes.

The Managing Director Rekha Shukla said that this book was named ‘Mangtha’, after the Chhattisgarhi word for handloom. The book contains complete information about the manufacturing process of Kosa, Khadi, and Cotton sarees woven in Chhattisgarh.

Various types of sarees have been beautifully illustrated in the book. The coffee-table book is dedicated to the handloom weavers of Chhattisgarh and it will significantly contribute to the promotion of Chhattisgarh handloom all over the country.
