Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced the slew of development work for the area in a Bhent Mulaqat Abhiyan organized at the Mohan Lal Jain Government College premises located at Khursipar in Bhilai Nagar Assembly Constituency.
The Chief Minister said that development works worth Rs 50 lakh are to be executed in each ward under the Bhilai Nagar assembly constituency. He announced the development work for Bhilai Nagar Assembly Constituency which includes proper arrangements for lighting, beautification of Civic Center, installation and beautification work of Chhattisgarh Mahtari in Bhilai Nagar area, beautification of Central Avenue road and Forest Avenue road, construction of domes, sheds at various places of Bhilai Nagar, asphalting and renovation work of internal road of Khursipar area, proper arrangement of lighting near Shaheed Virnarayan Singh Jayanti Stadium, construction of sports academy in Bhilai Nagar.
Baghel also announced to operate a higher secondary school located in Sector-09 as Swami Atmanand English Medium School and waived the water tax of those consumers who had tap connections from the year 2013 to 2019 and did not get a water supply. District in-charge minister Mohammad Akbar and MLA Devendra Yadav and other public representatives were present on this occasion.
Proposal of half electricity bill
CM Baghel said that a proposal will be brought in the next cabinet meeting to provide the benefit of the electricity bill half scheme to the residents of the township area and for those houses that are built on BSP land. Till now the people of these areas were not getting the benefit of the Half Electricity Bill Scheme.
Addressing the general public, the Chief Minister said that the series of Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan started on May 4 last year. In this program, feedback is being taken directly from the public whether they are getting the benefits of the schemes of the state government or not.
Yagini Dewangan, a student of Swami Atmanand School hailing from Sector-6, informed the Chief Minister about her school in fluent English. She thanked the Chief Minister for the well-equipped school and quality education.
The Chief Minister asked Ragini about Swami Atmanand, then he gave information about Swami Atmanand's personality and work. The Chief Minister said that every child of poor families should also study in English medium. M P Vishwakarma told that he is getting the benefit of half the electricity bill scheme every month, and he has saved money from this. He thanked the Chief Minister for this scheme.
Bhilai to get garment factory, BPO call centre
The Chief Minister also made several announcements for providing employment to the youth in Bhilai which includes a garment factory that would be started to provide employment to one thousand women and for this, an amount of Rs 7 crore has been approved.
A BPO call centre will be started soon in which 500 youths can get employment. For this, an amount of Rs 5 crore is approved.
New cricket stadium, Sarva Samaj Nagrik Bhawan announced
The children of Bhilai remain ahead in sports as well and for them an amount of Rs 1.5 crore is approved for the construction of a cricket stadium in HUDCO and Rs.3 crore for the construction of Sarva Samaj Nagrik Bhawan. He also said that Government ITI located at Khursipar will be run under Swami Atmanand Utsaksh ITI and new trades will be started here soon.
