Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made the announcement for a rank-wise increase in the ranks of home guard soldiers during the Bharose ka Budget 2023–24 in the Assembly. The Home Ministry of the Chhattisgarh Government has also issued an order in this regard.
Honorariums of the home guards were increased rank-wise, with a minimum hike of Rs. 6,300 and a maximum hike of Rs. 6,420. The hike will be implemented in the honorariums received from April 1, 2023.
The honorarium of the soldiers serving in the Home Guard Department was earlier Rs. 13,200 per month, which has increased to Rs. 19,500 with a hike of Rs. 6,300.
- The honorarium of Lance Naik has increased from Rs 13,350 to Rs 19,665 with a hike of Rs 6,315;
- The honorarium of Naik from Rs 13,500 to Rs 19,830 with a hike of Rs 6,330;
- The honorarium of Havaldar from Rs 13,650 to Rs. 19,995 with a hike of Rs 6,345;
- The honorarium of Company Havaldar Major from Rs. 13,800 to Rs. 20,160 with a hike of Rs. 6,360;
- The honorarium of Company Quarter Master from Rs. 13,800 to Rs. 20,175 with a hike of Rs. 6,375;
- The honorarium of Platoon Commander (Voluntary) from Rs. 14,250 to Rs. 20,640 with a hike of Rs. 6,390;
- The honorarium of Company Commander (voluntary) from Rs. 14,700 to Rs. 21,120 with a hike of Rs. 6,420.
