BJP president J P Nadda met former Australian prime minister Tony Abbott at the party headquarters here as part of its "Know BJP" initiative to engage with leaders and diplomats of different countries among others.
In a separate meeting, he also interacted with a select group of foreign policy experts, politicians and members of parliament from various countries.
The BJP said a documentary was shown to them based on the history, struggles, successes, ideology and contribution of the Bharatiya Janata Party and BJP governments in nation-building.
Nadda answered queries regarding the role of the BJP on the empowerment of women, the poor and marginalised sections of society.
He also highlighted the participation of BJP members in helping the people in need during Corona pandemic under the party's 'Seva Hi Sangathan' initiative, it said.
The meeting, the party has said, helps strengthen bilateral ties and also in building party-to-party ties.
