Bihar attracted MoUs (Memorandums of Understanding) for investments worth Rs 45,000 crore during the two-day Bihar Business Connect 2023 that concluded here on Thursday, while Adani Enterprises committed in front of chief minister Nitish Kumar to increase its investment 10-fold in the state.
The chief minister inaugurated the plenary session on the final day of the summit at which the MoUs were signed. He also launched the Bihar Logistics Policy 2023, prepared by the industries department, on the occasion.
The MoUs included Rs 7,386 crore investment announcement by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Rs 5,230 crore by Patel Agri Industries in food processing sector in Nalanda, Rs 2,200 crore by Haltech Projects in general manufacturing sector in Nalanda, Rs 2,000 crore by Indo-European Heart Hospital and Research Institute in Patna, Rs 1,600 crore by Dev India Projects in food processing sector in Patna.
Several entrepreneurs, including Adani Enterprises director Pranav Adani, Nahar Group chairman and managing director Kamal Oswal, US-based Advanced Micro Devices chief information officer Hansmukh Ranjan, showered lavish praise on Nitish for the development works initiated during his tenure as a Union minister and the chief minister.
