A “fully fit” Amit Shah has announced that he will campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections, preparing to make his first major public appearance at a time there has been speculation about his health. Home minister Shah, who had tested positive for the coronavirus in August and was hospitalised twice, had earlier been scheduled to visit Bengal ahead of the Pujas and “sound the poll bugle” but the trip was cancelled.

“I will go to Bihar after October 25,” Shah told Zee News on Monday. “I’m fully fit now,” he added.
