BJP president Amit Shah, who was undergoing treatment for swine flu at AIIMS in Delhi, was discharged on Sunday.
'Shah was discharged at 10.20 am after recovering from swine flue,' said a hospital official.
BJP leader and in-charge of the party's IT cell Amit Malviya said: 'BJP president Shri Amit Shah has been discharged from AIIMS. He is fine and back home now. Thanks for all your wishes and messages.'
Shah was admitted to AIIMS after complaints of chest congestion and breathing distress on Wednesday.
The BJP chief had tweeted on January 16: 'Mujhe swine flu huwa hai, jiska upchaar chal raha hai. Ishwar ki kripa, aap sabhi ka prem aur shubh kamnaon se shighra hi swasth ho jaunga (I have swine flu, my treatment is on. With God's blessings, your love and good wishes, I shall regain my health soon.)'
