Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Sunday chaired a review meeting regarding expansion of cooperatives in Raipur,Chhattisgarh.
Shah launched Primary Agriculture Credit Society (PACS) in the state’s 33 districts to work as Water Committees in their respective districts and also planted saplings under the “Peepal for People” programme. He also inaugurated various development works of the Chhattisgarh government.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, and Ministry of Cooperation secretary Ashish Kumar Bhutani were present.
Shah said that a cooperative society is being formed in every panchayat of the country to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”.
Shah also stressed that every trader of all the markets, all PACS and cooperative societies should have an account in the District Cooperative Banks and the state should establish four new district cooperative central banks for expansion and access to agricultural credit.
