Air India mistakenly cancelled the Jaipur-Mumbai ticket of a Boston-based passenger, a namesake of comedian Kunal Kamra who has been barred by four airlines for confronting TV anchor Arnab Goswami, on February 3.
He was eventually reissued the ticket and allowed to board the flight. An Air India spokesperson said on Wednesday: “Comedian Kunal Kamra is banned to board in Air India. It’s mentioned in our system that’s why his (the Boston-based passenger’s) name was automatically rejected. But after verification of all the credentials of the passenger, we allowed him to board the flight.”
