TMC released its candidate roster for all 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal, ushering a major overhaul by dropping seven incumbent MPs and introducing numerous new faces, including former cricketer Yusuf Pathan. Film star-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who won the Asansol seat in a by-poll on a TMC ticket in 2022, has been re-nominated, while former MP Haji Nurul Islam replaces actor Nusrat Jahan in the Basirhat Lok Sabha seat, where the trouble-torn Sandeshkhali is situated.

Supreme Court will on March 11 hear the application filed by the State Bank of India (SBI) seeking extension till June 30 to disclose details of each electoral bond encashed by political parties before the scheme was scrapped last month. The apex court bench, also comprising justices Sanjiv Khanna, B R Gavai, J B Pardiwala, and Manoj Misra, will assemble at 10.30 am to hear the two petitions.

A court in West Bengal's Basirhat extended the CBI custody of Shahjahan Sheikh, key accused in a mob attack on ED officials at Sandeshkhali, by another four days on a prayer by the central agency. Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials were attacked when they went to raid the now suspended Trinamul Congress leader's premises at Sandeshkhali.

Several Congress leaders in Rajasthan, including former ministers Rajendra Yadav and Lal Chand Kataria, joined the BJP in Jaipur ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, state BJP president C P Joshi and Union minister Bhupendra Yadav welcomed them into the party at its state headquarters.

U.S. Army has dispatched a ship to send humanitarian aid to Gaza, Central Command (CENTCOM) said, days after President Joe Biden vowed to build a temporary pier to supply the besieged enclave. The logistics support vessel is "carrying the first equipment to establish a temporary pier to deliver vital humanitarian supplies," it said.

Delhi airport will join the club of airports having an annual passenger handling capacity of 100 million with the inauguration of the expanded Terminal 1, which has a capacity of 40 million. All entry gates have Facial Recognition System (Digi Yatra), 20 Automated Tray Retrieval Systems (ATRS), Individual Carrier System (ICS), 108 Common Usage Self Service (CUSS) and 100 check-in counters, including 36 Self Baggage Drop (SBD) kiosks, according to airport operator DIAL.

Thirteen people, including two children, were injured in an accident at Varkala beach on Saturday after a huge wave toppled the floating bridge they were standing on, police said. The injured are being treated at the Mission Hospital and the Government Medical College, the officer said.
