Canadian authorities, who arrested three Indian nationals in connection with the killing of Khalistan separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, said their investigation has not concluded and 'others' played a role in the homicide. The three are believed by investigators to be members of an alleged hit squad tasked by the government of India with the killing of Nijjar, 45, outside a gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18, 2023.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said a lookout notice has been issued by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) against Holenarasipur JD(S) MLA H D Revanna, who is facing sexual abuse allegations along with his son and party MP Prajwal Revanna. Revanna, a former minister, who has been served a second summons to appear for questioning before the SIT probing the case, has time till this evening to do so, Parameshwara said.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘shahanshaah’ (king of king) who lives in a palace but is cut off from the public, responding to the PM’s ‘shehzada’ jibe for her brother Rahul Gandhi. “He calls my brother ‘shehzada’. I would like to tell him that this shehzada walked for 4,000 kilometres from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to listen to your (people's) problems, met my brothers and sisters, farmers and labourers and asked how we can resolve their problems,” she said.

Amid the row over incidents in Sandeshkhali where allegations of sexual abuse against TMC leaders have surfaced, the party released a video on social media, claiming that the episode was a "conspiracy" by the BJP to defame West Bengal ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. The man alleged in the video that Suvendu Adhikari had asked him and other BJP leaders of the area to "instigate three-four local women to level allegations of rape against three TMC leaders, including Shajahan Sheikh".

Criminal conspiracy charges have been added to the FIR registered in connection with the doctored video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's speech, the Delhi Police said, a day after it arrested a national coordinator of the Congress' social media team. "We have added section 120B (punishment of criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the FIR as investigation has indicated to a larger conspiracy," a police officer said.

Enforcement Directorate has filed a money laundering case against YouTuber Siddharth Yadav alias Elvish Yadav and some others under the charge of suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug in parties he hosted, official sources said. The alleged generation of proceeds of crime and use of illicit funds for organising rave or recreational parties is under the scanner of the ED.
