The teenager, Ronan’s Christine 'Lady Bird' McPherson (played by Saoirse Ronan) is a work in progress. What makes the film iconic is Greta Gerwig's portrayal of Lady Bird as an unapologetic girl.  The film also sheds light on the emotional hardships one has to navigate while growing up.
