The iPhone 16 Pro Max is pulling in loyal Apple users. “Apple has its own customer base,” said Srabanti Ghosh, a mobile store worker from Chandni Chowk, Kolkata. “Customers who are purchasing the iPhone 16 Pro Max are dedicated Apple buyers. We sell more iPhones 16 overall: about 20-25% of our monthly sales come from iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.”

The Samsung S24 Ultra has its own distinct appeal. Ruman Adhikary, who works at a mobile store from Behala, Kolkata, said, “We sell around 20 - 25 pieces of S24 ultra per month. This phone is competing against Apple iPhone 16 pro max. As per the customer review, the camera of S24 is one of the best. I believe that most of the iPhone customers focus more on status symbols rather than features. But if one compares features, they go for S24 ultra.”

The Samsung S24 Ultra is popular among users interested in customising their products.

“I frequently take notes, which is why I chose the Samsung S24 Ultra over the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I am a user of both the phones. I feel that the S-Pen is unique and extremely helpful for productivity and creativity. It holds advanced features like precise writing, bluetooth connectivity, gesture recognition, and air actions. I can even use it as a remote control for my phone and PowerPoint presentations,” said Nabanita Roy Chattopadhyay, an assistant professor at Haldia Institute of Technology.

In terms of AI features, many users feel Samsung is ahead.

“Samsung One UI is currently the best custom interface, packed with artificial intelligence features and various privacy protection features such as Secure Folder and Knox Security.Samsung phones now offer an option called Samsung Dex, which allows you to connect your smartphone directly to a monitor or TV and use your smartphone on the big screen, making internet browsing and even editing much more efficient. The generative AI Field option provided in Samsung phones assists you in editing various types of photos. Once you become accustomed to using the Samsung S24 Ultra, you will have little difficulty using other devices. If we talk about the iPhone experience, it is similar to the previous-generation phones in terms of user experience. If you have other Apple devices like a MacBook or iPad, you can create an ecosystem so that data transfer or other tasks become very convenient,” Priyatosh Das, a tech vlogger who runs a YouTube channel named Tech Bengali and a user of S24 ultra told The Telegraph Online.

“Using Samsung offers unlimited freedom, whereas Apple imposes specified limits.” Avro Roy, who runs a YouTube Channel by the name TechSci Guy and a user of both the phones, told The Telegraph Online. “Conversely, iPhones provide users with a sense of security and effortless operation. iPhone displays are manufactured by Samsung. Both phones boast exceptional displays. Key differences include: - iPhone’s ProRes video recording - Samsung’s 100x Zoom advantage.”

According to Das, the Samsung S24 Ultra’s 100x zoom is amazing for capturing details from a distance, while the iPhone’s 4K slow-motion and cinematic modes are perfect for videography. And users tend to pick one over the other depending on their preference for either still photography or video recording.
