Redeveloped and illuminated G20 logos have been installed at the nearest prominent footpath and road roundabout of Indira Gandhi International Airport, Pragati maidan tunnel.
City authorities have taken steps to deploy langur mimics and put up cut-outs of the simians at vantage points to scare away monkeys during the G20 Summit. The unchecked population of monkeys has led to their ever-increasing numbers across the city with the animals loitering around and often attacking and biting people.
Traffic is likely to be hit on September 2 and 3 in the city as police will hold full dress rehearsals for the G20 Summit, escorting carcades from different parts of the national capital towards New Delhi district. Delhi Police has introduced a virtual help desk to help delegates and other tourists visiting the national capital during the G20 Summit get real-time traffic updates for commuting in the city.

Besides, a large number of roads have been cleaned and beautified, hospitals have been put on 'high alert'.

Delhi Metro has also developed a pedestrian plaza with aesthetic landscaping outside the Supreme Court metro station. Stone-carved White Horses Statue has been installed at the roundabout of Mansingh Road.
Ahead of the G20 summit which will be held at the newly built international convention centre at Pragati Maidan, several arterial roads and other important areas in the city have been given a facelift.
G20 logo flanked by a row of decorative pillars bearing flags of member countries at a newly-developed G20 Park. Different varieties of flowering plants and potted shrubs have been planted along roads.
Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopters were used for security drill atop Le Meridien ahead of the summit. Delhi Police has prohibited flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like paragliders, hang-gliders and hot air balloons in the national capital from August 29 to September 12 for security reasons.
