The women of Bengal hit the streets to say they had had enough.
The anger over the brutal rape and murder of a young doctor at one of Bengal’s oldest government run medical college and hospitals, RG Kar, was palpable. The anger has been building with each new shocking revelation being reported.
The protests show that anger has reached a tipping point. Cops allegedly set up barricades at various points in the city. But neither the rains nor the police barricades could dent the spirit of the people to reclaim the night.
