Sharing the news on Instagram on Tuesday alongside a teaser, Saregama India wrote, “Zeenie Baby is back and better than ever! Catch her live at Yeh Shaam Mastani, a musical-conversational show. She’ll whisk you away to Bollywood’s golden age with interesting stories and behind-the-scenes gems, we bet you’d want to know.”

The teaser features Zeenat in conversation with RJ Anirudh, with the Bollywood veteran asked to describe her acting journey in two words. Recalling her characters in Don, Alibaba Aur 40 Chor, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Ajnabee and Yaadon Ki Baarat, Zeenat says, “Just two words? It will take at least one evening to know my story.”

“I will take you on a beautiful journey of memories with some fun stories about my films and my evergreen songs. And with me will be amazing singers who will together create an enchanting evening for us,” the 72-year-old actress says in the teaser.

Fans flooded the comments section with their love and support, expressing their desire to see the veteran actress live in other Indian cities as well as abroad. “WHY NOT Bangalore. We love you too dearest Zee'ji,” one of them wrote, while another said, “Bring this show to LONDON , guaranteed sellout , no matter the venue.”

Zeenat last appeared in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s 2019 epic war drama Panipat alongside Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon. She will soon be seen in Faraz Arif Ansari’s upcoming directorial Bun Tikki, a Manish Malhotra production that also marks her onscreen reunion with Shabana Azmi after the 1982 crime drama Ashanti.
