Released in 2022, the series stars Gulshan Devaiah in the role of Sammit Patel, a serial killer who is married to a detective played by Drashti Dhami. He conceals from her the fact that he is actually Abhishek, the son of a dangerous serial killer Balu (Zakir Hussain). The upcoming season is directed by Rohan Sippy. Pradeep Sarkar and Aijaz Khan jointly helmed the first season. Apart from Sadh, Devaiah and Dhami, it will also feature Rajesh Khattar, Zakir Hussain and Barkha Sengupta.

The series is adapted from the Korean drama Flower of Evil which revolves around Detective Cha Ji-Won and her husband Baek Hee-Sung, who tries to hide a disturbing secret about himself by disguising as a family man.

The release date for the second season of Duranga is yet to be announced by ZEE5.
