Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan-starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke had a decent first week at the domestic box office, raking in Rs 37.36 crore nett since its release on June 2, according to trade reports.
The Laxman Utekar-directed romance-comedy collected Rs 3.24 crore nett on Day 7, box office records highlighted on Friday.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke had earned a modest Rs 5.25 crore nett on Day 1 and opened to relatively mixed reviews from the critics. However, the rom-com gained momentum over the weekend, collecting Rs 17.1 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday.
The film remained steady at the box office in the weekdays, minting Rs 4.14 crore nett on its first Monday, Rs 3.87 crore nett on Tuesday and Rs 3.51 crore nett on Wednesday.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke revolves around a newly-married couple, Kapil (Vicky) and Somya (Sara), who want to buy a house of their own. In order to get a house under a government scheme, the couple decide to get a divorce. But fate had other plans in store for them. The film also features Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Neeraj Sood, Meghna Agarwal and Rakesh Bedi in supporting roles.
