A biopic celebrating the life and achievements of former Team India cricketer Yuvraj Singh will soon be released theatrically, production house T-Series announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.

The biopic is titled Six Sixes as a tribute to Yuvraj’s clobbering of England’s Stuart Broad for six sixes at the 2007 T20 World Cup.

“Relive the legend's journey from the pitch to the heart of millions—Yuvraj Singh's story of grit and glory is coming soon on the big screen,” wrote the makers, alongside a set of pictures featuring the cricketer with producers Bhushan Kumar, Shiv Chanana and Ravi Bhagchandka.

The project will also be backed by Ravi’s banner 200NOTOUT. Details regarding the cast and release date of the upcoming biopic have been kept under wraps.

Yuvraj Singh was born on December 12, 1981, to former Indian fast bowler Yograj Singh and Shabnam Singh. He was an all-rounder known for his left-handed batting and slow left-arm orthodox bowling. He rose to fame in the early 2000s, playing a crucial role in India's ICC T20 World Cup win in 2007 and the ICC Cricket World Cup victory in 2011.

Yuvraj's career highlights include his record of hitting six sixes in an over against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup and being named Player of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup.

Despite being diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer in 2011, Yuvraj’s determination saw him return to cricket after treatment. He retired from international cricket in 2019, cementing his legacy as one of India’s greatest match-winners.

Yuvraj tied the knot with British actress Hazel Keech in November 2016 in Punjab. The couple welcomed their first child, a boy named Orion, on January 25, 2022. Their second child, a girl named Aura, was born on August 25, 2023.
