Production house Yash Raj Films has offered a glimpse into the shooting of the thrilling high-speed chase sequence featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the 2019 spy thriller War.
“What I was certain of is that it has to be a very high-speed chase. You feel the thrill, you feel the speed. That was tricky,” says director Siddharth Anand in the video shared by the makers on Friday.
Interposed with clips of Siddharth directing the two actors, the video shows Tiger chasing Hrithik on a bike. They ride past trains and through narrow alleys. Tiger’s bike overturns, and he pursues Hrithik on foot. “I am going to get through the highways, get through the shortcuts, and sort of use my skills to close the gap until I do finally manage to get him,” says Tiger in the video, which shows him jumping to wrench Hrithik off the rider’s seat. The clip ends with Hrithik riding a bike out of a fierce blast.
The third instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, the film follows Khalid Rahmani (Tiger), an Indian RAW agent and soldier assigned to eliminate his former mentor Kabir Dhaliwal (Hrithik), who has gone rogue. The film also features Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Soni Razdan and Mohit Chauhan in key roles.
Released theatrically on October 2, 2019, the film went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
A sequel titled War 2 is in production and is expected to release on August 14 next year.
