The announcement comes as a pleasant surprise for Dimoldenberg, who expressed her excitement in an interview with the Academy’s A.frame website. "I’m so excited. I really, really cannot believe it and can’t wait to get to Los Angeles and do some amazing interviews. To be doing this for the Oscars itself is really, where do you go? It’s all downhill from here!"

Talking about her willingness to put her own stamp on the Oscars, Dimoldenberg said she would try to create some really amazing moments through groundbreaking pop culture journalism. “But I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself, but I also just want to do a really, really good job. So, I’m thrilled to have been asked, and I'm even more excited to get these interviews out so everyone can see them,” she added.

Dimoldenberg, known for her unique interviewing style and wit, has gained widespread acclaim through her Chicken Shop Date series. With a staggering 2.2 million subscribers and 416 million views, she has interviewed a diverse array of entertainment industry figures, including Paul Mescal, Cher and Jennifer Lawrence.

Dimoldenberg's involvement in Oscars season events will be extensive. She will collaborate on an Academy video production with the Oscar nominees, offering viewers an inside look at the lighter side of the prestigious event. Additionally, she will be a key figure in the ‘Oscars 96 Behind the Scenes Tour,’ providing audiences with a glimpse into the preparations and behind-the-scenes moments leading up to the grand night.

The 96th Academy Awards are set to take place on March 10 at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
