Tollywood actor Yash Daasguptaa is gearing up to make his Bollywood debut with the T-Series production Yaariyan 2, opposite Divya Khosla Kumar.
Yash shared the film’s teaser trailer with the caption: “Get ready to go on a journey of family to friends, friends to best friends and best friends picking us up in sad times!”
Directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao, the film revolves around three cousins who become close friends. Yaariyan 2 is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Bangalore Days, and is set for an October 20 theatrical release.
The star cast features Pearl V Puri, Jaaved Jafferi’s son Meezaan Jafri, Anaswara Rajan, Warina Hussain and Priya P. Varrier. The first film, Yaariyan, was directed by Divya Khosla Kumar and released in 2014.
Yash, who is currently busy promoting Yaariyan 2 in Mumbai, recently announced the launch of his production house YD Films. The first film from the banner, Mentaaal — starring him, Nusrat Jahan and Sayantani Ghosh — is on the floors. Yash was last seen in the film Toke Chhara Banchbo Na, opposite Priyanka Sarkar.
Yash had started his acting career on Hindi TV with shows like Bandini and Basera, before stepping into the Bengali film industry in 2013 with Bojhena Shey Bojhena.
Bhalobashar Morshum in colour
The song Bhalobashar Morshum from Srijit Mukherji’s futuristic black-and-white love story X=Prem (2022) has been rereleased in colour.
The X=Prem soundtrack, composed by Saptak Sanai Das, had become a chart-topper for some time after the film’s release. Bhalobashar Morshum is sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.
