K.G.F star Yash has started shooting for his upcoming movie Toxic, he announced on Thursday alongside a picture from the pooja ceremony.
Sharing a picture with KVN Productions founder Venkat K Narayana on Instagram, the 38-year-old actor wrote, “The journey begins #Toxic.”
In the photo, Yash sports a white shirt and jeans, and joins hands with producer Venkat, who wears a pink bandhgala.
Fans flooded the comment section with their excitement for the upcoming movie. “Fasten your seatbelt,” one of them wrote. “All the best Rocky Bhai,” another fan commented.
KVN Productions took to their X handle and shared pictures from the pooja ceremony . “A new chapter begins for a tale to witness. #ToxicShootBegins today with an auspicious pooja ceremony. Here are some magical moments,” they wrote alongside pictures featuring Yash, Venkat and director Geetu Mohandas.
Prior to the ceremony, Yash visited temples in Bengaluru with his wife Radhika Pandit, their children Ayra and Yatharv, producer Venkat and the film’s crew.
The film was announced last year on December 8 with a title teaser. The makers also revealed that it will hit theatres on April 10, 2025.
Touted as “a fairy tale for grown-ups”, the teaser for Toxic shows Yash in a cowboy-like avatar, wearing a hat, smoking a cigar and brandishing a gun. The quick glimpse of the actor hints at the film being a period crime drama.
Yash gained nationwide popularity for playing Rocky in the K.G.F film series.
