Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s mystery thriller film Lost, which had its digital premiere on ZEE5 on February 16, is set to release in theatres on February 24.
The direct-to-digital movie, headlined by Yami Gautam, will be screened at Priya cinema, Basusree cinema, Bioscope (Axis Mall and Junction Mall) and Nazrul Tirtha in Kolkata.
The film, also starring Pankaj Kapur, revolves around the disappearance of Ishan Bharti, a student activist, in Kolkata. Yami, who plays the role of a crime reporter Vidhi Sahni in the movie, pursues the story at the risk of losing her job and life.
Vidhi stumbles upon a possible political angle to the disappearance of Ishan. During her investigation, Vidhi is coerced by the police to drop the story. Even Ishan’s family complain about harassment by the authorities in the name of interrogation. Police say Ishan ran away to join an extremist group but Vidhi is not convinced. She is determined to unearth the truth behind Ishan’s disappearance.
Lost, which also stars Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee and Tushar Pandey in key roles, was also screened at the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. It is currently trending at No. 1 on ZEE5.
