Yami Gautam Dhar’s Lost catches eye at IFFI Goa

The film, helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, enjoyed a standing ovation at its global premier at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival earlier this year

Yami Gautam Dhar’s upcoming film Lost, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, received an overwhelming response at the 53rd edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on November 23.

Earlier, the film had globally premiered at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival on September 23 this year and enjoyed a standing ovation from the audience.

Based on a screenplay written by Shyamal Sengupta, Lost follows a journalist (Yami) determined to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of a theatre artist. The movie also stars Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna and Neil Bhoopalam in prominent roles.

Yami shared major glimpses from the event on social media, capturing the moments of utmost delight. “Received an extraordinary response at its Asian premiere,” the actress wrote.

Yami has had quite the year with the release of A Thursday and Dasvi. The 33-year-old actress wore a stunning Anita Dongre sari for the film’s premiere at the film festival in Goa.

Yami will next be seen in Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, which will release late this year on Netflix. The actress will also be seen in OMG 2 and Dhoom Dham among other unannounced projects.
