Actress Yami Gautam and filmmaker Aditya Dhar have welcomed their first child, a baby boy who they have named Vedavid, the couple announced on Monday.
The couple shared a mystical picture of a mother embracing her child on Instagram. The photo carries the text, “We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our beloved son, Vedavid, who graced us with birth on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya.”
“As we embark on this beautiful journey of parenthood, we eagerly anticipate the bright future that awaits our son. With every milestone he achieves, we are filled with the hope and belief that he will grow to become a beacon of pride for our entire family as well as our beloved nation,” they wrote alongside the photo, thanking the team of doctors who were involved in the delivery.
Bollywood celebrities including Ayushmann Khurrana, Mrunal Thakur and Neha Dhupia congratulated the couple in the comments section.
Yami had previously announced their pregnancy during the trailer launch of their recent film Article 370. The couple, who dated for over two years, got married in June 2021. The couple worked together in the films URI: The Surgical Strike (2019) and Article 370 (2024).
