Six Feluda fans got a chance to meet and greet actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay who plays the super sleuth in Arindam Sil's web series Shabash Feluda, currently streaming on Zee5. The fans were winners of the Super Sleuth Contest, organised in association with The Telegraph, and they got a chance for an individual tete-a-tete with the ace actor-director, apart from his autograph and selfies, of course.
This English teacher came all the way from Barasat to meet her favourite star who plays her favourite literary character on screen. Deyasini Ghosh, an avid t2 reader, summed up her experience as ‘amazing and overwhelming’. She said, “It was great to meet him in such a quiet setting with no noise or crazy crowd. It was like I was talking to a friend. I asked him one question — when can we see him donningthe director’s hat again as Shonar Pahar is etched in our memory and we want more from him? And his answer filled me with joy and I can’t wait to see his next directorial venture later this year.”
Ankur Mitra’s conversation started with his question about playing Topshe and Feluda, the most famous Bengali sleuth. “We all idolise someone when we are in our teens. Topshe is someone who heroworships Feluda and if we would have seen him grow in the literary scape then we might have seen him become like Feluda.” A graphic designer by profession, the Sovabazar resident said he got to know about the contest through social media. “It’s a Sunday well-spent. I am so thrilled to have met Parambrata who plays our favourite sleuth, Feluda. I am just waiting for more seasons of Shabash Feluda as Parambrata did hint at them,” he said.
