Will Smith gives BTS glimpse into gun-fight sequence in Bad Boys: Ride or Die; watch here

The fourth instalment of the cop thriller franchise will arrive in Indian theatres on June 6

Hollywood actor Will Smith on Tuesday shared a behind-the-scenes video from the set of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah’s upcoming cop drama Bad Boys: Ride or Die, providing an exclusive glimpse into how a gun-fight sequence was filmed for the movie.

“Just wait until you guys to see this scene in @badboys,” the 55-year-old actor wrote alongside the video on Instagram.

The video shows Smith himself operating the camera attached to his body with one hand and holding a gun in the other hand during the filming of the action sequence. The latter part of the video offers a preview of how the action sequence will appear on the screen.

The video elicited enthusiastic comments from fans and cinephiles. “My first thought when I saw this scene was...Call of Duty. Fascinating to see how you pulled it off,” wrote one, while another commented, “Dope! We need a Bad Boys the video game.”

Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the fourth instalment of the Bad Boys film series, follows detectives Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) as they try to get to the root of corruption within the Miami Police Department after their late Captain Conrad Howard is posthumously accused of ties to the Romanian Mafia. However, the duo are soon framed and forced to become fugitives.They work outside the law to crack the case.

Also starring Joe Pantoliano, Vanessa Hudgens, and Eric Dane, the cop thriller is slated to be theatrically released in France, Germany and the UK on June 5. It will be released in Australia, Brazil, India, Mexico and South Korea on June 6, while it will arrive in US theatres on June 7.

Created by George Gallo, the Bad Boy film series revolves around the exploits of two detectives in the Miami Police Department. The original film of the series was released in 1995. The next two instalments, Bad Boys II and Bad Boys for Life, were released in 2003 and 2020 respectively.
