Anirudh made an explosive debut with Why This Kolaveri Di, a song that took the nation by storm. Sung by Dhanush for the film 3, the track became an instant hit, amassing millions of views and shares within days of its release. The combination of colloquial English-Tamil lyrics, an unconventional music structure and Dhanush’s vocals gave Kolaveri Di an edge, making it a cult favourite.

Aaluma Doluma (2015)

For the Ajith-starrer Vedalam, Anirudh composed Aaluma Doluma, whose thumping beats and pulsating EDM-inspired rhythms turned it into an anthem for celebratory moments. Sung by Anirudh and Baadshah, the song underlines Ajith's larger-than-life screen presence and became a must-play at festivals, parties and sports events.

Vaathi Coming (2021)

Vaathi Coming, from the Vijay-starrer Master, showcases Anirudh’s talent for fusing modern beats and folk elements. Released during the pandemic, the song went viral, with Vijay’s dance moves sparking numerous social media trends and challenges, and many replicating his steps on Instagram.

Kaavaalaa (2023)

Kaavaalaa from Jailer, marked another massive hit for Anirudh in 2023. Sung by Shilpa Rao and featuring Tamannaah, the song has folk rhythms and its catchy chorus made it a fan favourite. Tamannaah’s dance and the choreography also contributed to the track’s popularity.

Chaleya (2023)

Anirudh made Shah Rukh Khan — and the rest of the nation — dance to his tune in the action film Jawan with Chaleya. Sung by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao, the song was a groovy, dreamy respite from the intense action scenes, and Shah Rukh and Nayanthara coming together in a tender moment made it memorable.

Chuttamalle (2024)

Alirudh’s latest hit Chuttamalle, from the Telugu film Devara: Part 1, features Jr NTR romancing Janhvi Kapoor on the lush beaches of Thailand. Chuttamalle is soft and sensuous, and Shilpa Rao’s husky voice made the most of this melodious track. Since Devara’s theatrical release, the internet has been flooded with videos of fans dancing their hearts out to this song.
