Shah Rukh Khan personally conveyed his birthday wish to Salman Khan instead of resorting to a cursory post on social media, revealed the Bollywood star during an #AskSRK session on X on Wednesday.
The Dunki star explained the reason for not posting a birthday greeting on special media for his Pathaan and Tiger 3 co-star to a fan who had tried to remind him of Salman’s birthday. “I know and I have wished him. I don’t do it on social media because it’s personal na?? Waise yeh picture bhai ki awesome hai,” he wrote on the microblogging platform.
Shah Rukh began his #AskSRK session by asking fans to shoot 20 “happy” questions since he had just lost at a VR game and needed some time to “recoup, regroup and do a rematch”.
Admitting that 2023 has been a tremendously successful year in his career, Shah Rukh described the entire year as the best in his career in reply to another query on the best parts of the current year. ““Not parts the whole 2023 was best!!”
Beginning with Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan, which emerged as the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, Shah Rukh again broke box office records with Atlee-helmed Jawan, which went on to collect a whopping Rs 1146 crore worldwide. His Christmas release Dunki is holding its own amid the Salaar onslaught at both home and abroad.
Asked how he deals with people writing “nonsense” about him, the Bollywood star replied with a mix of humour and a tone of resignation, pointing out that he works on belief and not on opinions. “Ha ha u have heard the saying ‘opinions are like ______s, everyone has one!’ I work on belief not on opinions my friend.”
Shah Rukh also picked Dunki, his first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani, as the most demanding film among his hits of the year in reply to a question from another fan. Dunki, which arrived in theatres on December 21, also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Grover.
