Marvel Studios on Monday dropped a trailer for the third season of its animated anthology series What If...?, slated to premiere on Disney Plus on December 22.
The two-minute-20-second-long trailer teases some exciting events in the final instalment of the Marvel series, which explores stories from parallel universes where Marvel heroes have different fates. Among the standout moments is Sam Wilson’s Captain America teaming up with his fellow Avengers and commanding a gigantic robot. Meanwhile, Winter Soldier and Red Guardian find themselves in a tense alliance during a battle sequence.
Shang-Chi and Kate Bishop's Hawkeye can be seen navigating a Wild West-esque landscape, while Photon joins forces with Okoye and pilots an Asgardian skiff.
The trailer also highlights light-hearted adventures, including Howard the Duck and Darcy Lewis plotting to hijack The Grandmaster’s space cruise. The climax showcases Storm harnessing the power of Thor’s Mjolnir to combat a massive squid monster, hinting at an epic showdown that can redefine the multiverse.

Season 3 will also feature fan-favourite characters such as Hulk, Captain Peggy Carter and Agatha Harkness.
Directed by Bryan Andrews and Stephan Franck, the upcoming instalment is written by Matthew Chauncey, Ryan Little, and A.C. Bradley. What If…? Season 3 is produced by Danielle Costa, Carrie Wassenaar and Alex Scharf, with Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, and Bryan Andrews serving as the executive producers.
A new episode of What If…? Season 3 will drop daily for 8 days following its premiere on December 22.
