Apart from Aishwarya Lekshmi’s Ammu and Nivin Pauly’s Padavettu, other much-awaited movies from the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries dropped their trailers and first-look teasers last week.
Yamakaathagi (Tamil)
The first poster of the Tamil supernatural mystery thriller Yamakaathagi is out. Headlined by Roopa Koduvayur, who made her debut in Telugu cinema with Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya, steps into Tamil cinema with this film.
The first look of the film gives an eerie vibe as it features a scarecrow draped in a red saree with an ambulance and a group of people in the backdrop. Directed by Peppin George Jayaseelan, Yamakaathagi also stars Narendra Prasath, Haritha, Geetha Kailasam and Subash Ramasamy in prominent roles.
Rory (Telugu)
The teaser of the upcoming Telugu romantic action entertainer Rory has been released. Directed by Charan Rory, the film, set in the political backdrop of Hyderabad, follows the journey of a young man who travels to Pakistan under certain circumstances.
The film stars Charan, Karishma, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jayaprakash, and Devi Prasad in prominent roles. The teaser gives us a glimpse of the chaotic world as the location shifts from India to Pakistan.
Aanaparambile World Cup (Malayalam)
123 Musix dropped the trailer of the upcoming Malayalam fantasy sports drama Anaparambile World Cup, which follows a group of people and their love for football. Written and directed by Nikhil Premraj, the film stars Antony Varghese, TG Ravi and I.M. Vijayan in prominent roles.
The trailer shows kids from different teams taking part in a football tournament in Aanaparambile. It explores the chaotic world of these football lovers — their personal lives and how they train and perform in the tournament.
Love Today (Tamil)
The teaser of the upcoming Telugu romantic comedy Love Today was shared by the makers. The film is director Pradeep Ranganathan, who made his debut with Jayam Ravi’s Comali. It stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana in the lead roles. The film also features Yogi Babu, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena, Finally Bharath, Adithya Kathir, and Aajeedh Khalique.
In the trailer, we see Uthaman Pradeep (Ranganathan) and Nikitha (Ivana), who decide to get married. But Nikitha’s father asks them to exchange their phones for a day. The film is an extension of Ranganathan's short film App(a) Lock.
Khaimara (Kannada)
Upcoming Kannada-language horror film Khaimara began production on Bijoya Dashami. The film marks Gautam VP’s directorial debut in Kannada cinema and stars Priyamani and Chaya Singh in lead roles.
The makers shared the information along with an image of the ‘Muharat day’ where the actors, director and producer are seen. Guru Kiran will score the music for the film.
