We Are Family revolves around Maya (Kajol), who lives with her three children following her separation from her husband Aman (Arjun Rampal). She faces a critical moment when she is diagnosed with cancer. Despite being with his girlfriend Shreya (Kareena Kapoor), Aman chooses to return to his family to support Maya during this challenging time.

Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, We Are Family hit theatres on September 3, 2010. It was produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, with Sony Pictures Entertainment and UTV Motion Pictures distributing the film.

Kajol will next appear in a never-before-seen action avatar in Maharagni alongside Naseeruddin Shah, Prabhudeva and Jisshu Sengupta. She will also star in Kayoze Irani’s thriller Sarzameen opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran as well as Netflix's mystery thriller Do Patti, which also features Kriti Sanon.

Kareena was last seen in Rajesh Krishnan’s upcoming women-centric heist comedy Crew alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu. She made her OTT debut last year with Sujoy Ghosh’s Netflix film Jaane Jaan co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma. She is next going to feature in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders, slated to hit theatres on September 13. On the other hand, Arjun recently featured in Crakk alongside Vidyut Jammwal.
