The wait is over, people. Netflix India has just dropped the trailer for Season 2 of Sacred Games. Based on a novel of the same name by Vikram Chandra, the first season saw Saif Ali Khan's Sartaj Singh hunt down dreaded gangster Ganesh Gaitonde, played masterfully by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Pankaj Tripathi, who had just a few scenes in Season 1 is all set to have one of the key characters this season. Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin also join the cast for this season.

This year, the series is being directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan (who directed the critically acclaimed Masaan). Vikramaditya Motwane, who directed Sartaj's storyline in season 1 serves as the showrunner for Season 2.

Season 2 will premier on August 15.
