Vishal Bhardwaj’s Ishan Khatter-Wamiqa Gabbi-starrer short film Fursat out on YouTube

The film, shot for Apple, is a 30-minute-long musical fantasy

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj on Friday shared a glimpse of his short film Fursat, starring Ishan Khatter and Wamiqa Gabbi, on Instagram, hours after the film was released on the official YouTube channel of Apple India.

“Verified Commissioned by Apple. A journey through time, a dire prediction, and love that hangs in the balance — it’s now or never for a young man obsessed with controlling the future. “Fursat” is out now on the Apple India YouTube channel,” Bharwaj, known for films like Maqbool, Omkara, Haider and Kaminey, wrote.

The 30-minute-long musical fantasy film has been described as “a magical story about a man so obsessed with controlling the future that he risks losing what he holds most precious in the present.”

Ishaan, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming war film Pippa, shared a short clip from Fursat on Instagram. Wamiqa, who will next be seen in Bhardwaj’s upcoming neo-noir spy thriller Khufiya, also shared the clip.

The original soundtrack of Fursat is composed by Bhardwaj with lyrics from Gulzar, and features renowned singers such as Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher. The film has been shot by cinematographer Swapnil Sonawane while master choreographer Shiamak Davar has helmed the dance sequences.

Previously, Academy Award-winning director Damien Chazelle and South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook helmed short films titled Vertical Cinema and Life is But a Dream, respectively, for Apple.
