The trailer for the second September biggie from Bollywood — after Brahmastra — has dropped and it’s a dark, haunting world we are going to enter on the last day end of this month. Vikram Vedha, directed by Pushkar and Gayatri, promises a brutal face-off between Saif Ali Khan’s Vikram and Hrithik Roshan’s Vedha.
T-Series released the highly anticipated trailer of the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster on Thursday, giving us a glimpse of the neo-noir’s brutal action sequences.
The gory visuals seen in the almost three-minute-long trailer seem to present a monumental retelling of the classic folktale Baital Pachisi. The story presents the eternal battle between good and evil through evocative visuals with the tagline ‘Between Good & Evil, what you choose, defines you’.
Vikram Vedha chronicles the story of a feared gangster and an honest cop, and the duo turn on their charm even when spilling blood at every opportunity. Tough cop Vikram (Saif) sets a trap for the dreaded and revered gangster Vedha (Hrithik). But the tables turn when Vikram’s perception of the difference between good and evil gets blurred after he gets caught in the web of stories spun by Vedha.
