Chiyaan Vikram has wrapped up shooting for Tamil filmmaker Pa Ranjith’s upcoming period adventure drama film Thangalaan, the PS2 actor announced through a Twitter post on Tuesday.
Sharing photos with the director and co-star Malavika Mohanan, Vikram wrote on the microblogging platform, “And it’s a wrap! What a journey! Worked with some of the most amazing people and had some of the most evocative experiences as an actor. Was it just 118 working days between the first picture and the last. Thank you Ranjit for making us live this dream. Every single day.”
Billed as Pa Ranjith’s magnum opus, Thangalaan is set in the Kolar gold mines and is about the fight over the land between the indigenous people of the area and foreign forces.
Malavika also shared the news on Instagram with photos of the trio. “It’s finally a film wrap and I’m going to wallow in existential crisis for a few days. If blood, sweat & tears was a film, this literally would be it,” she wrote in the caption.
Apart from Vikram and Malavika, Thangalaan also features Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone and Parvathy Thiruvothu. The makers are yet to announce the official release date of the movie.
