"I’m very grateful for receiving the nominations in not just one but two acting categories for both Darlings and Dahaad. I feel lucky and blessed to have received such a fabulous response for both these characters. There is nothing more exciting for an actor than to have your characters create special identities,” said the actor in reaction to the news.

Vijay also said he hoped to continue working on projects that would create an impact on the mind of the audience. “I’m happy to see that all the hard work collectively put in is getting recognised and rewarded. And I’m really enjoying this phase of my career,” he added.

With projects like Gully Boy, Lust Stories 2, A Suitable Boy, Mirzapur 2 and Ok Computer, Vijay has established himself as one of the most sought-after actors in movies and web series. He will be next seen in JioCinema’s upcoming crime drama Kaalkoot. He will also feature in Mirzapur 3, Devotion of Suspect X and Murder Mubarak.
