Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who will be seen with Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming Bollywood movie Jawan, shared the title poster of his 50th feature film Maharaja, which also stars filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
The Farzi actor took to Twitter to share the news on Wednesday along with the poster. “#VJS50 Titled #Maharaja 👑 🦅 Written & directed by @Dir_Nithilan,” he wrote alongside the poster.
Gangs of Wasseypur director Anurag Kashyap also shared the poster of the film on the microblogging platform, confirming his presence in the movie. “Even the darkness fears his brutal politics. Beware, he’s coming !! #VJS50 Titled “ #Maharaja ” 👑 Get ready to handle the toughest ones in the game 🦅 Written & directed by @Dir_Nithilan #MakkalSelvan @VijaySethuOffl,” he wrote.
Primarily known for his distinct directorial ventures like Black Friday, Dev.D, Mukkabaaz, Ugly and Raman Raghav 2.0, Kashyap has also shown his acting talents in films like Luck By Chance, Akira and AK vs AK. Maharaj is all set to be his second appearance on screen in Tamil films after 2018’s Imaikkaa Nodigal. The film is produced by Sudhan Sundaram under Passion Studios and Jagadish Palanisamy for The Route.
Maharaja is directed by Nithilan Saminathan, who is known for helming Kurangu Bommai (2017) and Ombatthane Dikku (2022). The film will also feature Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam and Abhirami in important roles.
