A bearded Vijay Sethupathi smokes a pipe and tosses a pair of dice in the air in the first poster of Aarumugakumar’s upcoming film Ace, dropped by the actor on Friday.
“Presenting the First Look of #VJS51 #ACE. The Trump Card you have been waiting for,” the 46-year-old actor wrote alongside the poster shared on X (formerly Twitter).

In the poster, Vijay sports a mint green t-shirt and has a rugged look on his face. We can see skyscrapers at the bottom of the poster. The dice and currency notes hint at a story that revolves around gambling.
A teaser of the upcoming film introducing the cast was also dropped on Friday. Vijay, Yogi Babu, Rukmini Vasanth, Divya Pillai, Babloo Prithveeraj, B.S. Avinash, Muthu Kumar and Raj Kumar feature in the teaser. Denes Kumar, Alvin Martin, Priscilla Nair, Jasper Supayah, Kaarthick Jay, Nagulan, Zahrinaris were also introduced in the short video.
The Aarumugakumar directorial has roped in Justin Prabhakaran as the composer. The film marks Justin's third collaboration with Vijay after films like Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Orange Mittai.
Vijay was last seen in Sriram Raghavan’s neo-noir mystery thriller Merry Christmas alongside Katrina Kaif. Based on a French novel Le Monte-charge by Frédéric Dard, the film was shot in both Hindi and Tamil.
The actor will be next seen in the silent film Gandhi Talks. He recently wrapped up the shoot for Maharaja and Viduthalai Part 2, directed by Vetrimaaran.
